Exploring Media in England

Studying media and media effects in England provides us some uncommon learning opportunities.

The British Grand Prix www.silverstone.co.uk/php/rm_overview.html -- one of the longest-standing races on the Formula 1 circuit -- is being held the weekend after we arrive (July 4-6). We will be hosted by the media staff for the British Grand Prix on a tour of the International Media Centre on Wednesday, July 2 as preparations are being finalized for hosting journalists from around the world.

As you make final preparations for your trip, take some time to explore a little about Formula 1 racing and the British Grand Prix. We are exceedingly fortunate to be provided the opportunity to visit the International Media Centre. One member of the UGA at Oxford on-site staff said, "This is an opportunity many people would die for."

I love F1 racing, and I'm really excited about any involvement with the organization. This doesn't by chance involve free admission to the race, does it? I won't get my hopes up.
Since I didn't know where else to ask this, I'll ask here. I'm not on the group flight, and mine will be arriving about two hours before the group flight does. When and where should I start to look for the shuttle?

Unfortunately, Brian, there's no free admission to the race. The prelims start on Friday and they couldn't accommodate such a large group on race days. Nevertheless, I think you'll enjoy this as both an F1 fan and a media scholar.

I thought not.
Anyway-any idea when the shuttle will be at the airport? And whereabouts should I look for it?

For our field trips, what is the proper attire?

For two of the three field trips, tourist attire is fine. For the trip to Ketchum, we should try to be a bit more business-like. That doesn't mean I expect suits, but something closer to business casual than pure tourist.
